Open Positions: 

Senior Architect of End User Computing

Canalini Consulting Group is currently seeking a full-time Senior Architect of End User Computing.    Salary range is $150-180k per year.  This is a remote position with occasional travel to the Client’s sites.

As the Senior Architect of End User Computing, you will lead the development, delivery, and continuous improvement of end-user computing services for our clients. Your role includes formalizing the end-user computing practice within our consulting company, identifying new business opportunities, and enhancing user experiences. This position is highly visible and carries the responsibility to transform how our clients utilize end-user computing technology to achieve increased productivity and end-user satisfaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Strategic Vision: Help develop and implement a visionary strategy for the end-user computing practice, driving continuous transformation, innovation, and formalization to meet our clients’ needs.
• Business Development: Identify and pursue new business opportunities related to end-user computing for our clients. Will work closely with the sales team to generate new revenue and growth for the practice.
• Technology Solutions: Collaborate with client decision-makers to recommend, develop, implement, and support cost-effective technology solutions across various industries.
• User Experience: Drive user experience techniques and metrics, ensuring a client-centric approach to end-user computing.
• Collaboration: Foster collaborative relationships with clients, company executives, and fellow teammates, while identifying new business opportunities for our clients.
• Operations Management: Lead end-user computing operations practices, optimize technologies and integrate a wide range of solutions to meet client objectives.
• Product Rollouts: Manage all new product service capability rollouts, develop roadmaps for product features and capabilities, and identify opportunities to attract new business for our clients.
• Customer Feedback Loop: Implement a multi-tier customer outreach program to enhance the customer feedback loop and promote improved adoption of end-user computing products and services for our consulting clients.

Technical Responsibilities:

• Responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining virtual desktop solutions that leverage Citrix technologies and the Azure platform.
• Architect end-to-end virtual desktop solutions by analyzing client business requirements, assessing existing infrastructure, and designing scalable, secure, and high-performance architectures.
• Design and integrate Citrix products, including Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, Citrix ADC, and Citrix Cloud, with Azure virtual desktop services to provide a comprehensive and cohesive virtual desktop solution.
• Configure and manage Azure virtual machines, session hosts, virtual networks, and storage to create and maintain Azure virtual desktop environments.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline.
• Minimum 10 years of end-user computing experience, tailored for consulting, and demonstrable subject matter expertise.
• Substantial experience with key technologies, including Windows 365 Cloud PC, Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix NetScaler, end-point management systems, messaging, Office 365, cloud services, and self-help services.
• End-user experience-focused with extensive experience supporting end users within a consulting context.
• Strong knowledge of leveraging AI within the end-user computing environment for consulting clients.
• Working knowledge of EUC Cyber Security, network technologies, and configuration alternatives, especially as they apply to consulting engagements.
• Proven experience as a highly innovative change agent who can enhance digital workspace capabilities at the enterprise level within a consulting context.
• Must have 8-10 years of experience in IT with the skills and knowledge in the following areas:
• Expert knowledge in Citrix Cloud, VMware Horizon Cloud, Microsoft Cloud VDI, and DaaS platforms.
• Expert Knowledge in Citrix Hypervisor, Microsoft Hyper-V, VMware vSphere.
• Expert Knowledge in Citrix Gateway and VMware Unified Access Gateway.
• Expert Knowledge in Citrix NetScaler (SDX, MPX, VPX, CPX, BLX) including, but not limited to: AppExpert, AAA, nFactor, Global Server Load Balancing (GSLB), AppFirewall, Integrated Caching, and networking.
• Expert Knowledge in Azure Virtual Desktop and Windows 365 with Nerdio.
• Experience in AWS and Azure Cloud Expert Knowledge in Windows OS (Win7/Win10/Win2012/Win2016/Win2019) Linux Experience – Ubuntu, RedHat and CentOS.
• Experience in Application Virtualization and Containers.
• Expert Knowledge in User Profile Management Solutions.
• Active Directory and GPO management.
• Strong domain knowledge in Networking, Storage, and DC Infrastructure.

Senior Systems Engineer

Canalini Consulting Group is currently looking for a full-time Senior Systems Engineer. This is a remote position with occasional travel to the Client’s sites.

In this highly technical and client-facing role, you will be responsible for providing expert guidance and technical solutions to our clients, ensuring that their IT systems are optimized for performance, security, and efficiency. Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to our clients, understanding their unique business needs and technology challenges.
• Collaborate closely with clients to assess their existing IT environments and recommend tailored solutions.
• Provide expert troubleshooting for multi-forest Active Directory service issues, including DFS, DNS, WINS, and LDAP.
• Demonstrate a strong understanding of AD attributes, LDAP queries, and PowerShell scripting to modify AD attributes.
• Analyze and configure Group Policy Objects (GPOs), including item-level targeting and workstation configurations.
• Understand permissions granted natively to various Microsoft Built-In Groups for Active Directory administrative functions. Knowledge of permissions granted when building AD objects and via GPOs and local policies.
• Configure and manage Active Directory server roles, including Certificate Authorities (CAs), IIS, File/Print, and DNS.
• Familiarity with Entra ID and how it synchronizes with Active Directory.
• Provide expert guidance on the deployment, configuration, and optimization of M365 services.
• Assist clients in migrating to and managing M365 applications and tools.
• Enhance client security and compliance through Entra ID integration and policies.
• Conduct in-depth assessments of client infrastructures to identify opportunities for improvement.
• Design and implement infrastructure solutions that align with client business goals.

Education and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related discipline (or equivalent work experience).
• Proven and verifiable consulting experience as a Senior Systems Engineer in a client-facing role.
• Strong experience with Active Directory, Entra ID, Intune, M365.
• Strong experience with both Windows Server and Workstation environments and upgrades/migrations.
• Familiarity with cloud computing and IaaS concepts.
• Familiarity with implementing RBAC, SSO, MFA, and other IAM controls in diverse client environments.
• Understanding of security frameworks, regulations, and compliance standards.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills with attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively engage with clients and stakeholders.
