Job Posting:

Canalini is seeking a performance-driven, process-oriented IT Project Manager with extensive experience leading complex IT projects. The ideal candidate will be a creative thinker and strong leader who is adept at solving problems. They will possess expertise in IT Project Management techniques. They must have a proven track record of managing multiple, complex IT projects involving small and large cross-functional teams while maintaining adherence to budget, schedule, and scope.

The IT Project Manager will work closely with Canalini’s Director of PMO, Project Coordinator, engineers, and architects to manage client projects and engagements from scoping to completion. The IT Project Manager serves as a liaison between the project team and stakeholders at all levels of organizations. Their duties include project scoping, resource scheduling and management, developing and maintaining project plans and budgets, client/stakeholder communications, managing risk, roadblocks, and scope creep to ensure that projects are delivered on time, and within budget, meet client needs and expectations, while ensuring project delivery matches Canalini’s high quality of standards.

Their key duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Oversee project scoping process and develop accurate Statement of Work agreements
  • Resource scheduling and management
  • Developing and maintaining project plans and budgets
  • Client/stakeholder communications
  • Risk Management – Perform risk assessment to develop response strategies
  • Identify roadblocks and manage scope creep to ensure that projects are delivered on time, and within budget.
  • Ensuring project delivery matches Canalini’s high quality standards while meeting client needs and expectations.

This is a remote position with the occasional need to travel.  Salary is commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to analyze, streamline and implement improved processes
  • Attend project scoping meetings with clients and engineers to gather accurate project requirements
  • Assist sales engineers, architects, and engineers with estimating Level of Effort (LoE)
  • Collaborate with internal teams to review and refine project plans and documentation.
  • Monitor the performance of project team members, providing and documenting performance feedback.
  • Monitor project team time entries to ensure accurate project consumption and billing.
  • Manage project execution to ensure adherence to budget, schedule, scope and quality.
  • Conduct regular status meetings and reporting for both internal and client stakeholders.
  • Track, manage and communicate project risks, roadblocks, scope creep, deliverables, and project budget consumption.
  • Provide quality oversight of project documentations such as Design Documents, Environment Assessments, As Built and Configuration Documents.
  • Prepare, distribute, and manage project plans, client status and consumption reports.
  • Facilitate client-facing meetings, including kick-off, status, and close-out meetings.
  • Collaborate with the Director of PMO to report on project pipelines, resource utilization and finalize project P&L reports.
  • Oversee and supervise project coordinator.

Qualifications

Required: 
  • 4+ years of professional experience managing complex IT Projects
  • Experience in Project Management Methodologies and CRM tools
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools, advanced knowledge in Excel
  • Must be available during business hours, 9 a.m. – 6 p.m., EST.
  • Must be available to work after-hours and weekends as needed.
